NYT on Burnett's Camera Bag
Great piece in the NYT today about David Burnett, who used a 4x5 Speed Graphic camera on the campaign trail last year. At the soon-to-close exhibit of Pulitzer Prize-winning photographs at the Haggin Museum in Stockton (recommended), many of the shots from the 50s were taken with this kind of camera. Oh, and Burnett uses a Holga, too. Check out his award-winning shots of the Olympics that he took with the antique.

Three Links
NYC Photobloggers have a write-up on Larry Towell's multimedia Magnumtravaganza. It's worth the click (and bandwidth). Lots of memorable photos from El Salvador and of Mennonites, with Towell doing the voiceover. In fact, all of the Magnum Flash presentations could be of interest.
Also, World Press Photo has a new zine called Enter.
And there's a photo event on June 19th in San Francisco. Photographs by Karen Ande of AIDS in Africa, at the church at 100 Diamond St in the Castro. 1-3 PM. If you'd like to meet-up, let me know, I'll be there indeed.
